A doctor has shared the top five ways to lose weight and lose fat this summer, all without going on a crash diet.
This morning Dr Sara Kayat is telling people that a good place to start before going on a diet is to measure your waistline, reports the Mirror. She notes that a healthy weight around your waist should be less than half your height.
Dr Kayat said: “For example if you’re five foot four you want your waist to be 29 inches. But if you’re 32 inches, that’s when you’re in the unhealthy zone, so we wanted to try and get that down.”

Dr Kayat went on to share five tips that he sticks to but added that “there is so much advice out there” when it comes to weight loss.
Eat right
Dr Kayat said: “Learn to eat right again! Own a table, a plate, learn to chew, learn to appreciate the flavors on your plate instead of putting it on your way to work or at your desk, or in front of the table.” TELEVISION.”
Experts explain that when you learn to enjoy eating, you will make it a regular part of your day and not just a thing to do every time you wake up.
Eat more but stay healthy
While you shouldn’t limit your food intake, you should make sure that what you eat is healthy and good for you.
Dr Kayat said: “Not feeling so restrictive when you’re dieting, you can actually eat more. So it’s eating more of the right foods, nutritional foods that are lower in calories, found in a lot of plant-based foods. The restrictive aspect of a diet can really make people stop .”
Watch your snacks
Snacking is a normal human function and it may not be healthy at first but what you snack on can end up being bad for you. Bad snacks include processed foods that are high in sugar and salt.
The expert advises that: “The ideal snack is something like nuts – they’re very high in healthy fats, high in fiber and protein – all to help stabilize blood sugar so you don’t have too many cravings.”
Some research has shown that “grazing” — eating four to five small meals a day — can help with weight loss, but Dr Kayat notes that this is a personal preference.

He added: “It really depends on you as a person as well as what you eat. For some people grazing works, for others they need that structure in their day otherwise they will overgraze.”
Cut back on alcohol
Dr Kayat also suggests that people cut down on alcohol when trying to lose weight, as it tends to be high in calories.
However, he added: “There are so many really good low-alcohol and no-alcohol drinks out there now, we have options to swap. A lot of people miss those flavors, and we have those options now, so this is the right choice.” -truly worthy of the people.”
Stay away from crash diets
A crash diet is something that requires you to drastically reduce your calorie intake, sometimes by cutting out entire food groups or eating only one thing. This diet style can sometimes do more harm than good.
Dr Kayat claims this diet is unattainable, adding: “There are a lot of celebrities out there who support it but it doesn’t work, you end up yo-yoing, it can affect your metabolism, it can affect the way your body stores fat.”
Experts also suggest that apart from creating healthy eating habits, exercise is also a great option.
He added: “With exercise, it’s about finding the right balance as well. A lot of people work out too fast. You really need to build it up slowly, otherwise it’s easier to fall off that workout bandwagon.”
Dr Kayat also notes that you should, “try and find joy” in exercising.
